Maybe the "Iguana Vs. Red-heads" theme isn't a tangent after all. It is a relatively well-known fact that the Red Squirrel population (primarily found in England) has significantly diminished in size over the past twenty years, coincidentally coinciding with the recent rise in red-headed actresses.
Could the iguana's be coaxing us into breeding red-heads because they have eaten almost all of the Red Squirrels? Or could they be doing it because the Komodo dragon military-industrial complex needs a few able-bodied soldiers...

No squirrels were harmed by us.
Unless they were of a lower rank and tried to steal our nest, stash, and/or babies.
