We don't believe the squirrels are out to kill themselves, if that's what you mean by suicidal. We do, however, believe that squirrels engage in reckless behavior that endangers their lives -- which could also be called suicidal...so to answer your question: yes, squirrels are suicidal...sort of. What we're primarily interested in now is exploring the possible reasons for this dangerous behavior.
